Where rainforest and rice fields meet, for a unique scenic experience. This tour explores the foothills of the spectacular Rinjani volcano in the Bayan district of northern Lombok. Senaru Village, a cool mountain village filled with flowers stretching along the hillsides above Bayan, North Lombok.

This tour involves a knowledgeable local female guide from Senaru, starting near the border of Mount Rinjani National Park, your route follows old paths among shady bamboo groves and village gardens before entering a wide, open landscape of rice fields and palm trees. This tour has an educational side about the surrounding community, flora and fauna around the Mount Rinjani National Park area.

The highlights:

• This tour does not require special permits or special technical skills.
• It is safe for all ages except for certain criteria such as: disabled people who use wheelchairs, children or babies who are still in arms, pregnant women, people with heart-attack and rheumatism sufferers.
• Accompanied by experienced local woman guide with knowledge of local cultural & heritage, flora & fauna.
• The driver and car will be on standby waiting until you finish. So, if you bring along your traveling luggage and backpack, you can leave it in the car and then pick it up again the next day.
• Includes pick-up and drop-off before and after the program.

The Itinerary

08.00 - 08.30 am: Shuttle service to Senaru Village

You will be picked up by a driver and driven to Senaru Village, approximately 2 hours from the cities of Mataram or Senggigi.

Estimated arrival in Senaru +/- 10.30 - 11.00 WIB

Senaru - Traditional Village - Waterfall

Arriving in Senaru, you are met by our local guide, rest and get a brief briefing and make preparations.

Following the winding irrigation canals, you reach the dense rainforest of the famous Sendang Gila Waterfall Nature Reserve. Along the journey, discover tropical plants as your guide explains how local people make practical use of them.

Your guide will point out interesting things along the way, and bring snacks & coffee for you to enjoy in your free time by the waterfall. Passing through small hamlets where ancient traditions are practiced, you will gain an insight into the colorful village life of Sasak.

There's always something interesting going on here as you meet local people and admire the traditional houses along the street.

Make sure you bring your camera–the views are simply spectacular!

Every turn on the trail offers a new view as finally Rinjani – the sacred mountain of the Sasak people – appears majestically above the rice fields and rainforest.

This natural and cultural diversity is what makes Panorama Walk an unforgettable Lombok experience.

Pick Up & Drop Off Information:

• Free shuttle service available in certain areas such as: Lombok International Airport, Bangsal / Teluk Nare, Senggigi, Mataram and surrounding areas.
• Additional fees apply for pick-up/drop-off services outside the above areas (payable directly to the driver).
• Flexible pick-up time, between 09.00 to 14.00 or according to your arrival flight schedule.

Booking & Cancellation Policy:

• Reservations should be made at least 3 days in advance.
• A minimum deposit of 50% is required to guarantee the booking and the balance must be paid in cash on arrival or when meeting our guide/driver.
• Cancellations made 48 hours prior to arrival, a full refund including deposit will be made.
• Cancellations made within 24 hours or "no-shows" will not be refunded.
• Online payments via "Paypal" will be subject to a 3.9% processing fee.
